Mini-Lesson:
Today we will learn how to determine in what way the delivery of a
speech affects the impact of the words, by comparing and contrasting
the text of Lou Gehrig's speech to the audio version.
So that we can think critically about the texts we read and understand
the ways a speaker can impact their audience.
We’ll know we have it when we are able to describe the benefits and
limitations of each medium’s portrayal of the subject.
Class Work:
Read and listen to Lou Gehrig's speech
Homework:
30 minutes of independent reading.
