Week #6
Unit 1: Crafting Meaning Through Storytelling

Warm-Up:
10 Minutes of independent writing (in your writer’s notebook)
Mini-Lesson:
None today.
Focus Lesson:
Today we will review how to identify the plot of a short story. Then we will closely examine the falling action events and the conclusion for the purpose of rewriting a story ending.
Class Work:
Together we will complete the PLOT MAP for Amigo Brothers.

Use the back of your PLOT MAP to plan the rewriting of the ending of Amigo Brothers. Use the falling action and resolution boxes to record your ideas for how you will rewrite the ending of the story. Remember, the conflict still needs to be resolved at the end of the story.

Polar bear fur is not white, it’s clear.
